The Vaishnava-Sahajiya sect became well known in seventeenth century Bengal. It sought religious knowledge through the five senses. The divine romance among Krishna and Radha (guises from the divine masculine and divine feminine) were celebrated by Chandidas (Bangla: ????????) (born 1408 CE), Jayadeva (circa 1200 CE) and Vidyapati (c 1352 - c 1448)
